Research Interests

My research concerns two main strands of mathematics, discrete group theory and complex analysis, focussing on the Teichmüller space for Riemann surfaces as well as quasiconformal mappings. In addition, there are several aspects of geometry and topology in low dimensions where these theories have great influence, notably in the study of hyperbolic 3-manifolds and Kleinian groups. Riemann surfaces also appear as intrinsic ingredients in much of complex dynamics.
